Sally is a lifelong resident of CFB having grown up in Carrollton and moving to Farmers Branch nearly 20 years ago.
She and her husband Tony are the proud parents of two girls who both attend CFB schools. Addison is a 6th grader at Vivian Field Middle School and Emily is an 9th grader at Newman Smith High School.
It was at Janie Stark Elementary that Sally began her involvement in CFB in 2009. She has been actively involved in the district having served as a local PTA President, Treasurer, Secretary and Advocacy Chair. At the Council PTA level she has served as the chair for the Gently Used Book Sale and currently serves as the Vice President of Leadership Development.
In addition, she has served as a contributing member to the Campus Improvement Council at both Janie Stark and Vivian Field and was a part of the founding class of the CFBISD Ambassador Program in 2012. She is currently on the district Facility Planning Committee.
Sally is also very active in her community having served on the Community Watch Committee, Library Board, Family Advisory Board, where she served as chair, and the Charter Review Committee. She was also a founding board member of The Firehouse Theatre where she focused on increasing children's programing and educational opportunities.
Sally's love for children transcends beyond her community involvement to her professional career. She is a Registered Nurse with over 17 years of pediatric nursing experience. In 2018 she was awarded D magazine's Excellence in Nursing award.
Sally's passion for our schools and our community are what inspired her to run for school board.
She feels that all children deserve to have a voice, regardless of their background, and as a school board member she is committed to ensuring all children in our district have access to innovative programming and a quality education.
